Explanation of Condition Ratings for Used Games
How Game Discs are Rated (does not apply to games on cartridges)
- A+
- I received the game as used, but disc is perfect, not a scratch or blemish.
- A
- Disc in near perfect condition but has small, very light scratches. Excellent shape.
- B
- The previous owner clearly took good care of the disc, but it does have normal wear and tear. It has some light scratches that are more noticeable than an A rated disc. I still feel these are in very good condition.
- C
- Disc shows heavy use but looks good enough that it should definitely work fine. It has a decent number of light scratches but still in fairly good condition.
- D
- Disc in bad shape and not well taken care of, but seems to play fine. It is possible some part of the game may not work correctly. It is either covered
thoroughly in light scratches or has at least one scratch that looks deep.
Games with no warranty, are sold as-is, and need repair:
- E
- Game loads but I noticed freezing or skipping so does not work 100%. Usually
has a deep scratch or scratches.
- F
- Game does not load, needs repair. Usually has a deep scratch or scratches.
I may give +'s or -'s if I feel the condition is in between two ratings.
How Cartridge Based Games are Rated
- Excellent
- Game cartridge is in excellent condition, flawless or near flawless
- Good
- Game cartridge is in good condition but shows normal wear and tear. It may have slight fading or light blemishes.
- Poor
- Game cartridge or label is very faded and/or has minor damaged. It does work fine though.
How Game Cases/Boxes are Rated
- Excellent
- Case/Packaging is in excellent condition, flawless or near flawless.
- Good
- Case/Packaging is in good condition but shows normal wear and tear. It may have minor blemishes, usually light shelf wear.
- Average
- Case/Packaging is a little faded and/or the surface has minor damage. It is still in pretty good shape overall though.
- Poor
- Case/Packaging is very faded and/or has moderate damaged. It is still suitable for storing and protecting games even if no longer looks good.
How Instruction Manuals are Rated
- Excellent
- Instruction manual is in excellent condition. It looks like it was never
or only rarely read.
- Good
- Instruction manual is in good condition but shows normal wear and tear
from being read. Cover or pages are not as crisp as it was when new.
- Average
- Instruction manual has been read through frequently and has minor
creases, etc from being heavily read.
- Poor
- Instruction manual is faded, slightly damaged or has markings or a sticker(s)
How Case Artwork (Cover) is Rated
- Excellent
- Case artwork is in excellent condition.
- Average
- Case artwork is in good shape but has some noticeable wear and tear
and/or very minor blemishes. Still looks good overall.
- Poor
- Case artwork is faded, damaged or has markings or a sticker(s)on it.
Lost/Delayed Packages & Same Day Shipping Guarantee
If USPS/UPS has not delivered your item within
the stated time frames,
I will refund 20% of the purchase price
back to your PayPal account for the
inconvenience and you will have the option
of returning the item for a complete
refund when/if it arrives.
If it has not been
delivered within twice the stated maximum handling+transit time, you will
receive a full
refund and are free to keep the item
if
the carrier
eventually delivers it. Whether or not the item has been delivered is determined by checking the online delivery confirmation for USPS shipments or the online track for UPS shipments. If the item shows as being delivered it is no longer our responsibility. If tracking shows your shipment has been delivered, but you haven't gotten it please check with anyone else who lives at your address and also with neighbors (the carrier should leave a slip indicating who your package was left with, but still ask around in case the notice was forgotten or blown away).
If for some reason I am unable to uphold the same day shipping guarantee for items in which I receive cleared payment before 2PM EST Monday-Friday (non holidays) which applies to most items I list on eBay, I will either provide a 20% refund back to your PayPal account or upgrade to a faster service which will typically cut the transit time by one or more days. Most packages that were to be shipped with USPS First Class will be upgraded to USPS Priority Mail. Most other mail services will result in a 20% refund.
Examples:
- You pay for an item at 11AM EST on a Monday (non-holiday). I mail it same day with USPS First Class, but the online delivery confirmation does not show the item was
delivered on or before the 6th business day (Monday) after I drop the
package off
at the post office. You will receive a 20%
refund
if you notify me it
has
not
yet been delivered and the delivery confirmation does not indicate delivery.
Additionally, at this point you will have the option of
returning
the item for a full
refund plus the cost to return if it does end up being
delivered.
I understand you
may have needed the item earlier and no longer
want what you
ordered so I will
be glad to refund you fully as soon as the item
is back in my
possession.
If the item
is not delivered by the 12th day following
when the item
was shipped, the
remaining 80% of the cost will be refunded and
you will be
free to keep the item
if USPS ends up delivering it eventually.
- You pay for an item at 11AM EST on a weekday (non-Holiday). For some reason
I end up unable
to mail your game out that day, but mail it next day. You will
receive a free upgrade to USPS Priority Mail which will usually cut the transit time
by at least one day.
- You pay for an item at 3PM EST on a weekday (non-Holiday). For some reason
I end up unable
to mail your game out that day, but mail it next day. Since the
same day shipping guarantee only covers items paid for by 2PM EST, it will
be mailed out the next business day with USPS First Class.

You pay for an item at 1PM EST on a Monday (non-Holiday) and I mail it
the
same day with USPS First Class.
It is not delivered until the following Monday
which is the 6th
business day after I mailed the package. You will not
receive a
20%
refund
because the time frame provided was met.
